A local MP’s campaign for to secure a full rebuild of the Airedale Hospital has featured on a Channel 4 evening news report on reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).
The prime-time report highlighted the dangers of using reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete in buildings, with the structural defects of the material highlighted by expert Warren Thomas.
Mr Thomas argued that the material could “fail without anyone knowing anything about it”.
During the report, Mr Moore’s campaign for a full rebuild of Airedale Hospital was highlighted, referencing a clip from Summer last year where the MP took a piece of aerated concrete to number 10.
Over 83% or Airedale hospital is constructed from RAAC, with Mr Moore saying highlighting the "desperate need for action".
