Local MP Robbie Moore has called on residents to support local market traders at Keighley Market.
Despite being a vibrant shopping destination within the town for years, many market traders say there is a lack of support from Bradford Council, who own the site itself, with traders taking aim at a lack of marketing and rent discrepancies from the Council in recent months.
Commenting on Keighley Market, Robbie Moore MP said:
"It was great to drop by Keighley Market this week for a catch-up with some of our incredibly hard-working stallholders.
There are some truly fantastic stalls at Keighley Market, selling a whole range of items, from carpets, toys, clothes, bags, hardware, wool, meat, and of course some great cafés – and much much more!
So if you’re out and about in Keighley, do drop in and have a look – and let’s get behind our mighty local independent businesses."
