Keighley and Worth Valley MP Robbie Moore has visited Oakworth Manor Care Home to cut the ribbon for a new Bistro designed especially for residents at the home.
The pub is the latest addition to Oakworth Manor Care Home, which already houses a fully functioning hair salon and a conservatory for residents to enjoy. Invited by Oakworth Manor’s manager Amanda Pickard, Mr Moore got a tour of the Home's facilities, as well as meeting both staff and residents. The challenging circumstances of last two years were discussed and Mr Moore had the chance to thank staff for all their hard work during the pandemic.
Robbie Moore MP said:
"The pandemic has shown just how important our care sector is and so it was brilliant to visit Oakworth Manor Care Home to meet with their dedicated team and also to meet the residents.
It was an honour to be asked to open their new Bistro Dinning Room for residents, which I know they will enjoy long into the future. The space was perfectly designed for residents to meet up and have a chat in relaxed surroundings."
Oakworth Manor Care Home Manager, Amanda Pickard said:
"It was very kind of Robbie to take the time to visit us and our residents, and our residents really enjoyed meeting with Robbie. They thought he was lovely young man."
