Robbie Moore, MP for Keighley and Ilkley, has launched a Coronavirus volunteers page on his website to encourage constituents to sign up and help those in need.
The Keighley and Ilkley MP is making contact with prominent community groups in the constituency to see how best they can work together through this challenging and unprecedented time. Advice is constantly being updated, but at this point the government has advised all those who are presenting symptoms of the Coronavirus – along with the rest of their household – to self-isolate for 14 days, and in the coming days is expected announce that those with the most serious health conditions are largely shielded from social contact for around 12 weeks. For the latest government advice, people are being urged to visit the www.gov.uk website and following the appropriate link.
Robbie said: “These are very trying times and something which the majority of our generation has not experienced. We must all pull together to ensure we look after those most vulnerable in our community. The more people we get helping, the better the outcome will be. If you can help with anything, whether that is delivering food to people in self-isolation, shopping for food or helping with administrative tasks, please get in contact with us.
“If you are a community group that is struggling to recruit volunteers, please do get in contact with my office and we will help the best we can. I am determined to help all where I can and ensure that I, and my office prioritise Coronavirus related queries.”
If you want to volunteer in your local area, please complete the volunteers recruitment form via: https://www.robbiemoore.org.uk/coronavirus-volunteer. If you are a community group looking for help recruiting volunteers, please contact Robbie Moore’s office on 01535 600538 or [email protected].
