Keighley and Ilkley Coronavirus Volunteers.

Many people are keen to offer their help to vulnerable people at this difficult time. I have received countless emails and messages from people wanting to volunteer and this shows just what an incredible community in which we live.

My team and I will be working with community groups and volunteers to try and match up volunteers to local community groups and people who need help, whether they need emergency supplies delivering or just a phone call to help with loneliness during self-isolation.

We are at the very early stages of planning and this will very much be a grassroots effort. If you can help on any scale - from admin or organising volunteers, to delivering food and supplies - we want to hear from you. There is a form at the bottom of this page that you can complete to register your details. Your details will then be shared with local community groups who we are working with during the coronavirus pandemic.

This is a time for all to come together – only in numbers will we be stronger.

Thank you in anticipation for your help and support.
