Eastburn Amateur Boxing Club have hosted a visit from the town’s MP Robbie Moore to show him how the club is making an impact on the lives of local young people from all walks of life, both inside and outside of the ring.
Established over 25 years ago, Eastburn Boxing Club are a local not-for-profit boxing club founded by local Yorkshire regional boxing coach and boxing judge Naz Jalil.
In recent years, Eastburn Boxing Club’s gym has become a community hub for young people, with girls and boys of all ages and abilities attending the club’s regular pay-as-you-go sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings to learn new boxing skills, socialise and train for upcoming competitions.
Affiliated with England Boxing, the club is run by qualified coaches Mark Robinson - a former local boxer - and Neil Mcleod, an experienced Muay Thai competitor, alongside founder Naz, with a combined experience and expertise of over 40 years.
The club has trained some exceptional boxing talent in recent years, including the undefeated Josh Holmes and recently turned professional boxer Joe Garside.
If you or your children are interested in joining the club, contact the club by email at [email protected]
