Local MP Robbie Moore has today called on the Keighley residents to get on board with the digital money transferring app Revolut to donate to the British Legion's annual Poppy Appeal.
Every November, millions of people across the country proudly put on their poppies and raise vital funds for our veterans as part of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. The Legion’s red poppy is a symbol of both remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.
In 2020 The Royal British Legion is asking everyone to back the Poppy Appeal in a new way because like so many things, the Appeal has to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Royal British Legion and Revolut, a British financial technology company, have teamed up to enable millions of people to donate directly to the Poppy Appeal through the Revolut Donations feature. There are 3,000 Revolut customers in Keighley.
With Revolut, people in Keighley can support the Poppy Appeal each time they spend by automatically rounding up their card transactions to the nearest pound and instantly donating the difference. Revolut users can also make regular recurring payments or one-off donations.
100% of each donation goes directly to the Poppy Appeal and the service is completely free for the Royal British Legion.
