Jibran Ramzan, aged 10, of Beckfoot Phoenix Special School in Keighley has been crowned the winner of Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore’s 2024 Christmas Card Competition after hundreds of votes were cast by residents across the constituency.
The local MP received hundreds of entries from primary schools across the Keighley, Ilkley, Craven and Worth Valley areas, which were whittled down to 4 finalists and put to a public vote.
Following a close competition, Jibran from Phoenix Special School was crowned the winner, with the design being shown to Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
The card will feature on the front of Mr Moore’s 2024 Christmas card, which will be sent to HM the King and hundreds of individuals and businesses across Keighley and Ilkley.
The local MP visited Phoenix Special School to present Jibran with a copy of the winning card, a framed photo and a House of Commons Speaker’s teddy bear to congratulate him on the achievement.
Runners up this year were, Casey Shutt, age 10 from Keighley; James Swinson, age 5, Oakworth Primary School and Kendra-Aaliah Lawal, age 8, Merlin Top Primary.
