An internationally acclaimed local artist has decided it is time to get her work out to the public at any cost - or even no cost.
Seventy-seven year old artist Judy Sale has lived and worked in Haworth for the last 15 years. Originally brought up and trained in the USA, Judy’s career has taken her across the globe, having lived in eight different countries and exhibited her abstract and vibrant art in public and private collections worldwide.
Now, following her recent solo exhibition at the Dean Clough Museum in Halifax, Judy has decided to make her life’s work available for purchase, with any profits given to charities close to Judy’s heart.
Over fifty years of art, ranging from extra large to small in size are now seeking new homes and are negotiable to buy.
The gesture has received praise from the community, with local MP Robbie Moore, who recently visited Judy home studio & gallery in Haworth, saying:
“Judy has decided to make her art available to the public with all profits going to charity, which is an amazing gesture. Her work is bold, colourful, and full of energy, and it’s clear that she has poured her life experiences into every piece.
This is an absolutely fantastic opportunity for residents to acquire pieces from such a talented local artist, all whilst supporting some incredible charitable causes. I encourage all to take a look at Judy's work and find a piece that speaks to them.
Artists like Judy bring immense value to our local creative sector, and it’s vital that we support and promote their efforts.”
