Local MP Robbie Moore is seeking the support of regional MPs to form a Parliamentary group advocating the full rebuild of Airedale Hospital.
Mr Moore has written to local MPs Anna Dixon MP, Jonthan Hinder MP and Julian Smith MP to seek to form a cross-party New Airedale Hospital Coalition in Parliament following the Chancellor's decision to review the New Hospital Programme.
The group will allow local MPs to speak with one voice about the need for a new Airedale hospital to be delivered by the new government.
Mr Moore is seeking to meet with the local MPs upon the return of Parliament in September to discuss the creation of the group.
Robbie Moore MP said:
"Following the Chancellor’s announcement that our new government will review the New Hospital Programme, it is essential that local MPs in our region speak with one voice about the urgent need for the full rebuild of our new Airedale Hospital by 2030.
That’s why today, I have written to neighbouring MPs inviting them to join a cross-party New Airedale Hospital Coalition in Parliament, so we can provide a strong voice for our Airedale Hospital from both sides of the House of Commons in the months ahead.
It is vital that the government do not cause unnecessary delay to our project."
