Local MP Robbie Moore has paid tribute to a volunteer-led community shop for their service to the local area.
Visiting East Morton Community Shop at the weekend, Mr Moore said:
"One of the best things about East Morton is their East Morton Community Shop which is solely run by a great team of volunteers, providing a much needed and great service for the village.
Always good to pop in. They sell kitchen cupboard essentials, fresh farm and non-dairy milk, household products from washing liquid including refill products to pet food and accessories, a small selection of fresh seasonal vegetables, fresh flowers and plants, fresh bread and confectionery, chilled and frozen food including ready made meals, fresh meat from local butchers, artisan and local Yorkshire produce, wines, beers, gin and a small gift and card selection.
It’s a brilliant little shop. They are always recruiting new volunteers to get involved, so if you are interested, please do get in touch with their team - using the following website, or pop in to say hello.
