Keighley Cougars have hosted their annual Pride game against Whitehaven, winning the fixture 26-18 and hosting an event to remember.
The clash celebrated the inclusivity of the LGBTQ+ community within the sport, with Cougar Park featuring a host of pre-match entertainment including food stalls, music and appearances from drag artists.
The Keighley Cougars have led the way with an annual Pride fixture since it was introduced in July 2019, with the celebration being the fourth time Cougars have staged the clash.
Local MP Robbie Moore and the UK's Sports and Equalities Minister Stuart Andrew MP were in attendance at the event, with Mr Moore saying:
What a fantastic game!!! and a brilliant result for our mighty Keighley Cougars against Whitehaven beating them 28-18 full time score!!
This sets us up nicely for our away game next week against Bradford Bulls
Great to attend the Cougars Pride Match today with our Sports Minister Stuart Andrew MP - and to speak with Sky Sports News live from Cougar Park - singing the praises about our mighty team.
Well done to Kaue Garcia and Ryan O'Neill for all your efforts with the club.
Come on the Cougars!!
