Local MP Robbie Moore has attended Oakworth Village Hall this week for a dinner to help raise money for the installation of Christmas lights in Oakworth to illuminate the village for Christmas 2023.
The event featured a 2 Course Dinner, a performance from a local Swing Singer and a Raffle and Disco.
Mr Moore expressed his support for the community's fundraising efforts, praising local organisers and volunteers at the event.
Robbie Moore MP said:
"It was brilliant to attend and support the Black Tie fundraiser at Oakworth Village Hall and even get involved in a spot of dancing, with all the money raised going to help support the Christmas lights fund for Oakworth.
Mags Dearden and Irene Fowler did a fantastic job organising the event and huge thanks to The Turkey Inn, Nigel Passey Jane and DJ Chris Smith for the delicious food and for some great entertainment.
Local people from across Oakworth have once again shown their comittment to making the village a more vibrant and welcoming place for everyone, and I know just how much everyone in Oakworth enjoys the Christmas lights during the Christmas period."
