Keighley MP Robbie Moore has visited three siblings from Silsden set to take on a massive 60 mile walk to raise money for our much loved Raikes residential home.
Sophie, Millie, and John decided to take on the challenge to raise the money for the residential home, where they plan to make sure that every resident receives a present on Christmas Day.
The siblings have already raised a staggering £1205, well beyond their target of £650. Any money raised over the target will be spent on tickets for the residents to see a local pantomime show.
Speaking after the visit Robbie Moore MP said:
“It was absolutely fantastic to visit Sophie, Millie and John, who are going above and beyond to raise money for those at our much loved Raikes residential home in Silsden. This is community spirit at its best.
When I visited them, I was inspired by their eagerness and determination to complete this mammoth task during the month of November, and their fundraising will go an incredibly long way to ensure that every elderly resident receives a Christmas present and has a very merry Christmas.
I shall be cheering them on all the way and urge anyone who can donate to this fantastic cause to visit their online donation page by following this link-
