"This Remembrance Sunday we came together as a town to pay tribute to those who have given everything in service and sacrifice for our country.
It was an honour to take part in a very moving service at Keighley’s Shared Church, to hear the stories of members of our community past and present, and also to take part in the Remembrance Day procession and lay wreaths at both Keighley and Ilkley’s cenotaphs.
There is perhaps no greater service than defending our nation at home and abroad, and today people across Keighley and Ilkley were united in remembrance, wearing our poppies with pride to remember the great sacrifices of friends and loved one’s.
To our armed forces, our veterans, and all who have played their part in defending our country and its values and freedoms – I salute you.
Sunshine and Shadows Pass
But Loving Memories Ever Last
We Will Remember Them"
