Thinking of voting for Reform in Keighley & Ilkley? Here’s three things you should know before you cast your vote
First, so much is at stake if Labour’s candidate wins power in our area.
John Grogan will end my campaign for a full grooming gangs inquiry across Bradford, he will reverse my plans to break away from Bradford Council and he will continue to prop up a convicted violent criminal to be a councillor in Keighley.
That’s who you’ll get if John Grogan becomes our MP again.
Second, on 5th July either Labour’s candidate or me will be your local MP.
As you’ll know, general elections in the UK work on a first past the post system. That means the the candidate who gets the most votes wins and becomes your local MP. The others lose.
And despite what might happen elsewhere the country, Reform stands zero chance of winning here in Keighley and Ilkley. In fact, Keighley and Ilkley is not even in the top 150 target seats for Reform across the country. Which means…
Three, if you vote for Reform here, even with the best intentions, you’ll lose me as your local MP, all the progress I’ve been fighting for. And you’ll help Labour’s candidate get the votes he needs to win.
You’ve also seen the hard work I’ve put in over the past five years.
You’ve seen my plan to Leave Bradford, deliver justice for victims grooming and take a hard-line approach to crime and illegal immigration.
So on Thursday, 4th July, I’m asking you to vote for it.
Labour’s candidate wants you to vote reform here in Keighley & Ilkley - because if you do, he wins, and it won’t be me representing your views over the next 5 years.
