Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore has launched his 2023 Small Business Awards following the success of last year’s competition, which saw over 4,000 votes cast.
The local MP is inviting residents to nominate and vote for their favourite small business across Keighley, Ilkley, Craven and the Worth Valley by visiting RobbieMoore.org.uk/nominate to take part.
The competition will award four businesses the accolade of Best Small Business for the areas of Keighley, Ilkley, the Worth Valley and Craven, before an overall winner is also announced.
Azeem’s Restaurant in Keighley took the overall crown last year with Crumbs Café in Silsden taking the top spot in Silsden and Steeton area, ForTeas Tea Room in Haworth winning the Worth Valley prize, performing arts organisation BOLT Academy taking the Keighley and wider area award, and Nursery Rhymes Nursery and Jabberwocky Club in Addingham coming top in the Ilkley and Addingham area.
Mr Moore says he hopes this year’s competition will help promote and celebrate small businesses across the constituency in the run up to Small Business Saturday and Christmas.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, 8th December.
Robbie Moore MP said:
“Our brilliant small independent businesses are the backbone of our local economy and it’s so important that we promote, celebrate and support them as much as we can in the run up to Small Business Saturday and the Christmas period.
I’m delighted to be launching this year’s awards after the huge success of last year, where the support shown for small businesses across our area was absolutely incredible.
If you have a favourite local small business that you believe deserves recognition, I encourage you to participate in the competition by nominating them at RobbieMoore.org.uk/nominate
I wish everyone Good Luck!”
