It is fantastic news that the government has confirmed funds of £6.3 million are being released for direct investment on projects in our town. This announcement confirms the government is laser focused on delivering on its commitment to Keighley.
This huge package of investment focuses on enhancing the skills agenda, with £910,000 going to build a Skills Hub to help boost local employment. A new manufacturing, engineering and future tech hub will be delivered with funds £3 million being allocated and £2.39 million is being provided to help improve Keighley’s town centre.
Driving forward the skills agenda whilst enhancing our town centre are crucial and that’s why I am so pleased to have played my part in securing these funds from the government.
