Plans for industrial development on a long-derelict site in Keighley town centre have been given the go-ahead. Bradford Council has approved proposals for units on the former Hattersley’s land, near Keighley Shared Church.
The redevelopment plans will see four industrial units built on the site, creating new jobs and opportunities.
The announcement builds on £15m secured by local MP Robbie Moore earlier this year to develop brownfield sites across Keighley.
Robbie Moore MP said "This is more good news for Keighley as we build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ve always said that we should have a ‘brownfield first’ policy – that’s why I secured £15m from the government through the Towns Fund to help regenerate brownfield sites across the town.
This development will transform a site which has been left derelict for too long, and create more new jobs and opportunities for local people."
