Robbie Moore MP has visited community organisation Moor Help for afternoon tea and a chance to speak to residents at the event.
Moor Help was founded by local resident Wendy Harrison, and offers support, guidance and a range of care services to vulnerable members of the community, including assisted holidays, home care and days out.
The theme at the afternoon tea was Remembrance Sunday, featuring music from Vera Lynn, a quiz and homemade poppy buns baked to raise money for the poppy appeal.

“It was brilliant to visit Moor Help at their remembrance weekend for afternoon tea to learn more about the organisation and talk to residents about how the group has helped them. I would like to thank Wendy Harrison for setting up these brilliant events, which bring together people from across our community and provide a safe space for people to socialise and interact as a group. Moor Help offer a variety of services to elderly and vulnerable members of our community, and if you are interested in this brilliant initiative, please do visit Wendy’s website at moorhelp.co.uk."
