Keighley’s MP Robbie Moore has visited Keighley-based home and public lift company A1 Access Lifts to explore their newly expanded showroom and learn more about the recent expansion of the business.
Based in Unit 8 of Marley Mills, A1 Access Lifts are a family-run business spearheaded by brothers Andrew and Stephen Coppen.
The Keighley-based business offer a wide range of home lifts to accommodate the diverse needs of customers, including those with accessibility issues. They also supply and fit public buildings with the company recently securing contracts to supply public lifts to the Ministry of Defence, and Armley and Wakefield prisons.
Now, the business have expanded their Marley Mills unit to include a showroom, welcoming Keighley’s local MP for a tour of the facility.
The new showroom is designed to look like a living room to showcase two home lifts that allow customers to visualise the minimal impact their lifts have when fitted within a family home. The showroom also gives customers the option to experience the lifts for themselves.
On his visit, Mr Moore expressed his support for this great local business saying that A1 Access Lifts are bringing forward innovative ways to showcase to customers that a lift within the family home which helps with mobility issues can be fitted in a manner that is respectful to the surroundings and is a great way to make life a lot easier.
Robbie Moore MP said:
“Andrew, Stephen and the whole team at A1 Access Lifts have done an absolutely fantastic job creating this new showroom in Keighley, which allows customers to see and experience their lifts firsthand before a purchase.
In developing accessible lifts which can fit into a cupboard-size space, A1 access are giving individuals the freedom to age in their own home while maintaining their independence, allowing less mobile residents a better standard of living and quite often the ability of staying in their homes for longer.
I really do believe that promoting future-proofing measures for new homes, such as integrating these lifts, can significantly enhance the living standards of our community members as they age - and A1 Access Lifts are helping to do just that.”

“When we first set up A1 Access lifts, we realised there was a gap in the public lift sector and home lift market in platform models. We saw a gap in the market and the need for future-proofing so we invested in a showroom with two fully functional home lifts – The Aritco HomeLift and Aritco HomeLift Compact.
Since the inception of the showroom, we had numerous customers visit us and they are extremely impressed with the fact they can see, feel, touch, and ride the products. This has appeared to be extremely successful with 80% conversion rate.
The customer journey starts with their personal consultation in the showroom resulting in a turn key installation package through to a comprehensive after sales service. Please feel free to contact us for your 1-to-1 consultation.”
