Local MP Robbie Moore has held a meeting with West Yorkshire Police to discuss key issues affecting the Keighley area.
The meeting included Keighley Inspector John Barker, Central Ward Sergeant Luke Reed, and Bradford’s new District Commander Chief Superintendent Richard Padwell, who provided updates on ongoing policing operations aimed at tackling crime and improving safety across the district.
During the meeting, Mr Moore highlighted several challenges that continue to affect the local community, including drug crime, anti-social behaviour, and the dangerous use of motorbikes in areas like Bracken Bank, Guard House, and Braithwaite.
The issues, which Mr Moore recently raised with the Home Secretary, remain a top priority for local police.
Robbie Moore MP said:
"It was good to meet with West Yorkshire Police to discuss local policing and provide an update on the challenges our community is facing, including the continued prevalence of drug crime, anti-social behaviour on our streets, and the dangerous use of motorbikes in areas like Bracken Bank, Guard House, and Braithwaite, which I recently raised directly with the Home Secretary. As your MP, I want to make our community safer and look forward to working closely with our police team to help do so."
