Keighley's MP Robbie Moore has urged local people to sign up for the Sue Ryder Manorlands 10k and 5k runs, set to take place this Mother’s Day on Sunday, 10th March.
Starting outside Victoria Hall, both routes follow a circular path alongside the Leeds-Liverpool canal and East Riddlesden Hall, with the 10k route also including a section through Keighley Golf Club.
All participants will receive a bespoke Keighley 10k and 5k t-shirt as a token of appreciation for their support, with the funds raised going to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, who provide expert end-of-life care, advice, and support to local people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families.
Commenting, Robbie Moore MP said:
“I’d urge everyone to get involved in the Keighley 10k and 5k this Mother’s Day, which promises to be a fantastic event for an exceptional cause.
I’ve seen firsthand the positive difference Sue Ryder Manorlands are making for people with life-limiting conditions across our area, and this is your chance to contribute to the vital work that they do.
5k and 10k might sound like a stretch, but you don’t actually have to run it - you can always walk the stunning route with friends! To sign up for the Sue Ryder Manorlands 10k and 5k runs, please visit SueRyder.org.uk/Keighley10k”
