Local MP Robbie Moore has praised Keighley Town Council’s Keighley Community Awards, congratulating nominees and winners at the awards and hailing the event as a “showcase of our town’s generosity”.
Saturday’s Community Awards were a chance to celebrate the best of Keighley, recognising community champions who have sought to improve the community over the past year. Categories at the awards included Inspiring Young Person of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Emergency Services Hero of the Year and more.

Ibrahim Nadim - Inspiring Young Person of the Year
Mohammad Habibur - Teacher of the Year
James Vaughan - Volunteer of the Year
River Worth Friends - Climate Change Champion of the Year
Emma Groves Jones - Neighbour of the Year
Adam Dykes - Emergency Services Hero of the Year
Mayor’s Civic Award - Dorota Plata
Mike Smith - Lifetime Achievement Award
