World leading Keighley manufacturer Byworth Boilers have announced their support for Robbie Moore ahead of the general election on Thursday 4th July.
A third-generation family-run business based on Parkwood Street in Keighley, Byworth Boilers have a long history in the town as one of the UK’s leading exporters of boilers across the globe.
Founded in 1968 by Dennis Baldwin and employing around 126 people in the area, the firm won the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation in 2016 in recognition of their smart boiler control system, Unity.
Robert Baldwin, Production Director at Byworth Boilers said: "Byworth as a company are fully behind Robbie in the lead up to the general election. From the moment Robbie resumed his seat he set about understanding local businesses and gave a commitment that he'd do what was needed to support in any way he could. Actions often fall short of words - Not Robbie's. Its no secret that Manufacturing in the UK is tough and from time-to-time businesses will need support and not just financially. Robbie has continued to support us through our Apprenticeship programs, Levelling up & The Towns Fund to name a few and we are better off for that."
Mr Moore, who is seeking re-election in July’s poll said he was “honoured” by the news, saying: “Our fantastic manufacturing sector helped build this town and I am so honoured to have their support alongside so many of our town's amazing businesses, who are putting our town on the map right across the globe. Up and down the constituency, I’m honoured to see such support for my re-election campaign. If re-elected as Keighley’s MP, I will make it my mission to see the sector go from strength to strength and help create a better future for our next generation of manufacturers."
