The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Grant Shapps has promoted local MP Robbie Moore’s Small Business Awards this week, releasing a video praising the “fantastic” small business in the area and asking residents across Keighley and Ilkley to take part in the awards by voting for their favourite small business on Mr Moore’s website.
The local MP’s awards have gathered a staggering 3000 votes so far, with Mr Shapps confirming that the vote for the accolade of Keighley and Ilkley’s Best Small Business is currently “very close”.
Residents can still vote for their favourite small business by visiting Robbiemoore.org/nominate, with voting for the competition closing on 9th December. The winners of the Small Business Awards will then be announced by Mr Moore in the run up to Christmas.
Robbie Moore MP said:
“This year’s Small Business Awards have been a great success so far, and after a brilliant Small Business Saturday this weekend, it is great to see the Secretary of State recognising the wonderful small independent businesses across Keighley, Ilkley, Craven, and the Worth Valley.
Voting for the awards is still open, so if you would like to support your favourite small business do get involved and vote at robbiemoore.org.uk/nominate by 9th December. A huge good luck to the hundreds of businesses involved.”
Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Grant Shapps said:
”There are so many fantastic businesses in the area, which are the backbone of our community and I understand that your local MP, Robbie Moore, wants to celebrate that”.
“So please head over to Robbie’s website to support your favourite shop, but also support them physically in the run up to Christmas.”_
”I wish all the participants good luck, and wish everyone in Keighley and Ilkley a very Merry Christmas.”
