Keighley and Ilkley’s Member of Parliament, Robbie Moore, has launched a competition to find Keighley & Ilkley’s best pub.
The competition promises to be a celebration of the area's rich pub culture and and the essential role that local pubs play across the community. From the iconic Timothy Taylor’s brewery in Keighley, which dates back to 1858, to the famous Black Bull in Haworth, which can trace its history back to a 16th century coaching inn, to the original brewery in Ilkley founded in 1873, the constituency boasts a rich tapestry of pubs with unique stories.
The accolade of Keighley and Ilkley’s Best Pub will be awarded to an overall winner voted for by residents, with a further selection of pubs selected as area winners for Keighley, Ilkley, Silsden and the Worth Valley to acknowledge the wide variety of establishments across the area.
You can nominate your favourite pub below. The pub which receives the most nominations will be awarded Robbie Moore MP's Best Pub Award 2023.
Nominations will close on Friday 22nd September.
Pubs are not just places to enjoy great food and drinks; they are vital community hubs which play a hugely important role bringing people together, tackling social isolation and supporting our local economy. After a particularly challenging year, I wanted to show our fantastic local pubs some support and recognition.
I want to showcase the invaluable role that our pubs play in supporting our local economy, providing employment, and sourcing products from our talented local producers. I have been actively working in Parliament to support our pubs, and I am thrilled to launch this competition to honour the best of our area's establishments.
